Brunner Wins Big at the 2012 PRSA Renaissance Awards

Pittsburgh, PA - Feb. 16, 2012 - On Jan. 26, the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) honored the region's best public relations campaigns and tactics, as well as its most admired communicators, during the 2012 Renaissance Awards. Brunner PR, the public relations arm of Pittsburgh-based ad agency, Brunner, was honored with eight awards for the categories of best creative tactics, media relations, and online/social media. The event was held at the Fairmont Hotel downtown and was hosted by Rick Dayton, Anchor of KDKA-TV News.

The Pittsburgh Public Relations Society of America honored Brunner with five first place Renaissance Awards in the categories of social media and creative tactics. Brunner received the award for Best Social Media Content Creation for the Lucky Leaf "Pie in the Face" Facebook Tab and the award for Online/Social Media Blogger Outreach for Huffy's Moms on Bikes. The agency's work for the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation National Fishing and Boating Week was recognized as Best Social Media Campaign. Brunner was also recognized for their creative expertise with two first place Best Creative Tactic awards for Cub Cadet Spring-in-a-Tube Press Kit and CONSOL Energy Campaign Launch Video.

Brunner received three Award of Merit recognitions for the categories of Social Media for Bob Evans Super Spud Sing Along, Media Relations for Bob Evans Resolution Solution: Fit from the Farm Campaign, and Online/Social Media - Blogger Outreach for Musselman's "A Day at the Orchard" Ambassador Program.

The Public Relations Society of America Central Pennsylvania Chapter served as this year's judging panel and evaluated more than 40 award categories, including special events, media relations, and social media campaigns. The top entries earned the coveted Renaissance Award, while runners-up received the Award of Merit.
