Brunner Awarded Four Highest Honors at 2013 PRSA Renaissance Awards
Pittsburgh, PA – Jan. 30, 2013 – On January 24, the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) honored the region’s best public relations campaigns and tactics, as well as its most admired communicators, during the 2013 Renaissance Awards. Brunner PR, the public relations arm of Pittsburgh-based ad agency Brunner, walked away with four of the top awards. The event was held at the Lexus Club in CONSOL Energy Center downtown and was hosted by Troy Clardy, announcer on KDKA-FM Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.
The Pittsburgh Public Relations Society of America honored Brunner with four first place Renaissance Awards, landing a rare two winners in the category of Social Media Tactic – Blogger Outreach. Brunner received the award for Best Marketing Communications Campaign for the Cub Cadet Test Drive Challenge campaign. The agency’s work for the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation Waterpark of the Week was recognized as Best Social Media Campaign for the second year in a row in this category. Brunner was also recognized for their blogger outreach efforts with two first place Best Social Media Tactic awards for Huffy Moms on Bikes Ambassadors Outreach and Lucky Leaf Valentine’s Day Blogger Outreach.
Two entries of Brunner’s were also recognized in the Top 10 countdown for Best of Show – Huffy Moms on Bikes Ambassadors and Lucky Leaf Valentine’s Day Blogger Outreach.

The Public Relations Society of America Portland Chapter served as this year’s judging panel and evaluated award categories including special events, media relations, annual reports, creative tactics and social media campaigns. The top entries earned the coveted Renaissance Award, while runners-up received the Award of Merit. Individual awards were presented to the Communicator of the Year, the Renaissance Rising Star, the Renaissance Hall of Fame awardee and the Student Scholarship winner.
