JOB TITLE
Media Planner
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Media Planner's key responsibilities are:

  • Planning, implementation and management of media campaigns for key accounts
  • Developing  strategically appropriate media approaches for clients
  • Maintaining solid working relationships with client's and internal partners
  • Tracking expenditures to ensure agency and client budget compliance
  • Working with internal teams and outside sales reps to resolve media billing issues

Tasks

  • Plan, negotiate, execute and maintain media buys
  • Perform day to day ad placement, scheduling and updates for clients
  • Recommend/execute necessary modifications to plans
  • Evaluate media proposals and provide written POV's
  • Negotiate, execute and maintain approved added value programs/components
  • Create and update monthly budget reports for account teams
  • Develop results analysis reports for clients/account teams
  • Monitor buys and manage make-goods, optimizations and revisions as necessary
  • Manage billing reconciliation, discrepancies and monthly budget reports for key accounts

Qualifications

  • 4+ years media experience
  • Strong knowledge of end to end media planning/buying process for both traditional and online media (ie: research, application of findings, planning/negotiating media, buying process, etc.)
  • Knowledge of media resources including Scarborough, R&F, online planning tools, MRI, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion within established deadlines
  • Proficiency with ad serving tools and online ad trafficking experien
  • Strong interpersonal  and communication skills to foster optimal relationships
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and detail oriented
